Advancing the Study and Discourse of International Law

Welcome to the Undergraduate International Law Review at Cornell (UILRC), where we are dedicated to fostering a dynamic environment for the exploration and analysis of international law. We are proud to offer a unique platform for students to engage with complex legal issues that transcend borders and impact the global community.

The nation’s first undergraduate law journal dedicated to international law.

UILRC is the United States’ first undergraduate law journal dedicated to international law. As a registered student organization of Cornell University, we offer students the rare opportunity to publish their academic legal writing in a dedicated international law journal and to participate in meaningful discourse on legal developments.

Empowering Students to Shape the Future of International Law

At UILRC, our mission is to promote understanding and discussion of international law at the undergraduate level. We aim to bridge the gap between academic and real-world application of legal principles, encouraging scholarly research, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation of how international law shapes our world.

“The common sense of mankind demands that law shall not stop with the punishment of petty crimes by little people. It must also reach men who possess themselves of great power and make deliberate and concerted use of it to set in motion evils which leave no home in the world untouched.”

— Robert Jackson. Chief Prosecutor International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg and U.S. Supreme Court Justice
